ISLAMABAD: the former goalkeeper of Pakistan’s national hockey team, Olympian Zakir Hussain, passed away on Monday. He was eighty-five.
In his home town of Gulshen Anwar Masjid, Jinnah Colony, Wah Cantt, Zakir Hussain’s funeral prayer will be held.
Zakir Hussain was awarded a gold medal at the 1968 Mexico Summer Olympics and a silver medal at the 1956 Melbourne Summer Olympics.
