Iran-US Tension World

US were slapped last night, but such military actions are not enough, says #Khamenei

Tehran – Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that the US forces should leave the region because the peoples of the region do not want them.

Speaking in a meeting with a group of Qom city people on the anniversary of 1978 Qom protests against the Pahlavi dynasty, the Leader noted, “They were slapped last night, but such military actions are not enough. The corruptive presence of the US in the West Asian region must be stopped.”

“The US has caused wars, division, sedition, destruction, and the demolition of infrastructures in this region. Of course, they do this everywhere in the world. This region won’t accept the US presence. Governments elected by nations won’t accept the presence of the US,” he added.

He praised the Iraqi parliament for passing a motion requiring all US military forces to leave Iraq saying it was the right thing to do.

He also praised the Iranian parliament, the Majlis, for passing a new motion declaring the US Defense Department — the Pentagon — and its affiliated organizations as a terrorist organization.
