Modi does not desire peace, says Fawad

Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says Pakistan has always offered peace but India remained reluctant. 

He was addressing a conference titled “Unlawful Annexation: Holocaust and Humanitarian Crises in Indian Occupied Kashmir” in Islamabad on Monday.

He said Narendra Modi does not desire peace and is ambitious to replace Gandhi’s picture with his own one.

The minister said political leaders who supported New Delhi in past are also being targeted today. He said not even a single councilor is endorsing Modi’s narrative. He said there will be bloodshed as the curfew is lifted.

In his comments in conference, Chairman Kashmir Committee Syed Fakhar Imam said UNSC has promised with the people of Kashmir to hold plebiscite.

He said meeting of UNSC on Kashmir after fifty four years was a diplomatic achievement of Pakistan. He said India has failed to suppress the spirit of Kashmiris despite brute use of force.

Syed Fakhar Imam said world is finally taking an account of Indian atrocities.

Addressing the conference, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan called upon United Nations Security Council to take action against hegemonic designs of India posing threat to peace in South Asia.

He said Kashmiris and Pakistan have never accepted the occupation which was legalized by Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.

He said UNSC has rejected Indian stance on Kashmir and recognized it a disputed territory.

Sardar Masood Khan said India is committing grave human rights violations in occupied valley since 5th of August. He said Pakistan should again approach UNSC to hold another meeting to discuss the Kashmir dispute.

Speaking on the occasion wife of Hurriyet leader Yasin Malik, Mishal Malik said people who have been running puppet governments in occupied Kashmir and supported Delhi for draconian laws are victims of the same laws today.

She said India must release all political prisoners including Yasin Malik.
