Jamrud Kings crowned Champion of #Zalmi Madrasa League III

Final of ZML 3, Younus Khan Cricket Stadium in Miranshah was filled with cricketainment, the crowd showed up in huge numbers to support their favorite teams.

I congratulate Jamrud Kings on their victory, we will take ZML to other provinces as well, Javed Afridi.

According to the vision of PM Imran Khan, Zalmi Madrasa League is an effort to bring the students of madaris into the mainstream arena.

The number one franchise in terms of fans and brand value, Peshawar Zalmi, through the Zalmi Foundation has achieved yet another milestone. Zalmi has conducted yet another successful edition of Zalmi Madrasa League in Miranshah.

In the final of ZML 3, Jamrud Kings defeated Waziristan Warriors North by 8 runs .Jamrud Kings batted first and posted a target of 63 runs at the loss of 4 wickets.

After an intense encounter, Warriors fell short by 8 runs as they completed their innings at 56 with the loss of 6 wickets.

The man of the series & man of the match for the final was Mohammad Ullah who played brilliantly throughout the tournament. Peshawar Zalmi Chairman Mr. Javed Afridi in his statement said that “According to the vision of the PM Imran Khan in his first speech, ZML is an effort to bring the students of madaris into the mainstream sports arena.

I want to thank all the agencies, working staff and the local officials involved in making this event a huge success. It could not have been possible without your support. The tournament has 8 tribal districts playing under the banner of 8 different teams.

The first & second edition of ZML received a lot of mileage from the mainstream media and was appreciated by International media as well. It is an effort to show that In Pakistan, cricket is used as a deradicalizing tool. We will now be taking ZML to other provinces of Pakistan.
