Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh has said the federal government’s allegation about no distribution of ration bags among the needy people was wrong and baseless.
He said ration bags worth a billion had been distributed among the needy families so far, adding that it was a transparent method of ration distribution, according to a statement issued.
Imtiaz said many people were had been rendered jobless due to the lockdown but tough decisions taken by the government were for the safety of the people.
Referring to the press conference of lady doctors at the Karachi Press Club, he said the doctors were demanding a complete lockdown, but this would be a very difficult task for the government.
The minister said the provincial government wanted all decisions to be taken by taking the federal government, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan should have taken lead as he was the captain.
He said the chief minister and his cabinet were closely watching the situation as the number of coronavirus patients were increasing in the province.
