KARACHI: Pakistan’s fresh bowling coach Waqar Younis will receive a heavy sum of Rs2 million a month to coach the national cricket team as well as to unravel and upgrade the fresh talent.
The former skipper, living in Australia, will quickly move with his family to Lahore, according to a report published in Local Newspaper.
Younis has lately been assigned by the Pakistan Cricket Board as a bowling coach.
Every month, Misbah receives a whopping Rs2.8 million for performing the dual position of head coach and chief selector of the national team. The former star batsman’s high wage package produced headlines in local press.
However, Younis will have to do more than just coach the bowlers of the national team, according to the sources of the Urdu daily, in return for the monthly remuneration of Rs20 lakes.
Younis is also reported to visit domestic matches and recognize fresh talent at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore before collaborating with them.
